ALFASISTEMI AUTOMAZIONE is an italian company operating in automation systems with knowledge in hardware and software design development and integration.
One of the longest running implemented applications is the remote control system ACS (Automazione Controllo Stampa) for Aurelia offset machine in the versions :

ACS1 the prototype introduced in IPEX 1980 exhibition

ACS2 introduced in the early 80s , designed on hardware micro 8085 assembler code language and alphanumeric video terminal as user interface
(the personal computer is still to come)

ACS3 introduced in the late 80s , improves the user interface based on personal computer (DOS) with graphics and colors and data storage

ACS4 introduced in the early 90s with firmware migration to 8086 hardware (C language) and advanced DOS for user interface
These systems are still working and necessary to the Aurelia offset machine printing production.
ALFASISTEMI AUTOMAZIONE is able to support ACS systems for maintenance of the features and improving them
by updating to the new ACSUSB version that makes available
- no longer supported spare parts replacement in case of failure (Siemens SMP boards , Tesak VD video terminal , old version MSMD boards)
- damaged parts replacement (functional keyboard)
- reduced make-ready time by means of elaboration on printing image from CTP (PDF file is used, no expensive optional CTP software modules are required)
and following coherent ink fountain keys preset in very short time
- data exchange with scanning densitometer for semiautomatic quality control
- reduced operator training time for the unchanged commands strategy of the replaced ACS3 ACS4
ACSUSB runs on Windows 32/64 platform.
The data exchange in USB 2.0 with the field I/O controller gives very quick event response and high performance.
